Experience the wonders of Waldorf Early Childhood education! Children aged 2 ½ - 5 years and their parents are invited to join us for a morning filled with engaging activities led by our dedicated teachers, followed by outdoor playtime and fun on our Los Altos campus. Check in is from 9:45 - 10 am. Please plan to stay for the entire program. This free event requires pre-registration with a code obtained by attending an Online Early Childhood Information Session.

For one day each year, the WSP Los Altos campus transforms into a magical winter wonderland. The joyous mood, creative activities, and welcoming community of people at our Faire invite you to celebrate the beginning of the season with us. Come to our 37th Annual Winter Faire … a magical experience for all ages to enjoy. Among the many activities to enjoy: Games Beeswax Candle Dipping Craft Workshops Entertainment Wreath Making Hair Braiding by Verso Braiding Henna Body Art by Shilpakala Artworld Children’s Gnome Adventure Puppet Show — "Gluscabi and the Wind Eagle" Vocal Performances Prizes Senior's Scavenger Hunt Jump rope making Walbots High School Robotics Demonstration …and More! Our Faire happens RAIN or SHINE. Activities take place indoors or under tents. Purchase activity and puppet show tickets in advance until 12 pm on Wednesday 11/29. Experience Waldorf Education for the Young Child at our Early Childhood Open House. Our annual Open House is an opportunity for children and their parents to experience a Waldorf Early Childhood classroom. From 10 am to 11 am, we will have nursery school classrooms and kindergarten classrooms open with our early childhood teachers leading the children in a typical, wholesome morning activity. From 11 am to 12 pm, we welcome you outside for play and outdoor activities. This is a fully-scheduled event, so please plan to stay for the entire program.  While this event is free, we do require you to pre-register.  You will need a code to sign up. You will receive this code after attending one of our weekly online Information Sessions to learn about Waldorf Education and our Early Childhood program. You can register for an Information Session via the website link to Ravenna. This event is for children 2 years old to 5 years old and their parents. Infants in arms are always welcomed.

Experience Waldorf Education for the Young Child at our Early Childhood Open House. From 10 am to 11 am, we will have nursery school classrooms and kindergarten classrooms open with our early childhood teachers leading the children in a typical, wholesome morning activity.  From 11 am to 12 pm, we welcome you outside for play and outdoor activities. This is a fully-scheduled event, so please plan to come for the entire program. While this event is free, we do require a registration code to sign up. You can receive a registration code by attending one of our free weekly online information sessions to learn about Waldorf Education and our Early Childhood program. Nursery School and Kindergarten Tour *CANCELED*

As per the guidance of the Santa Clara County Health Department to avoid large gatherings at this time, we are canceling this Early Childhood Tour. For now, our Admissions Director will be scheduling small private tours during our outdoor recess periods at 10:30 am and 12:30 pm. Please contact her directly to schedule a time if your child will be age-eligible for school in 2020-2021(2 years 6 months by June 1, 2020). If your child will NOT be age-eligible in 2020-2021 (2 years 6 months by June 1, 2020), please consider waiting for a formal tour at a later date.

Grades 1 – 5 Tour & Introduction to Waldorf Education

Coming to one of our campus tours or open houses is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Waldorf Education and experience our school. They include an overview of the Waldorf philosophy and curriculum, detailed information about our school, a walk through some of the classrooms, and time to speak directly with members of the faculty and students. All events end with a Q & A session. Tours start promptly at 9:00 am and visit several classrooms in session, so we ask that you do not bring children (except for babies in arms). Tours do fill up, so please sign up in advance, here, to reserve your preferred date. During the tour you will hear about Waldorf curriculum and programs, meet teachers, and visit classes in session. It will conclude with a Q&A session. Please note: Our Middle School campus is located in Mountain View and there are specific tours for these grades, however an important overview of the curriculum is offered at this tour on our Los Altos campus and we highly recommend anyone who is new to Waldorf Education attend this event first.

While the children continue to play, the teachers will explain the pedagogical basis of the activity you observed and a bit more about our program.
