Scrip & Other Fundraising

WSP offers several programs that return money to us when you shop at popular retailers. Full participation by our community could bring our school over $100,000/year in outside support, so please use the following programs whenever you can:

eScrip – By using registered debit, credit, and club cards, participating retailers such as Safeway, Lunardi’s, Draegers, Food4Less, Pak n Save, and over 10,000 restaurants,  will automatically rebate 2%-5% to WSP. Be sure to renew your Safeway card each Fall. Unlike Shop With Scrip that involves explicit scrip purchases, eScrip simply tracks purchases made with credit/debit/club cards you register, and sends the rebates to WSP quarterly.

Heart’s Delight Store – When you pay by cash or check, it saves us 3% in credit/debit card fees.

Other Ideas – We encourage our community members to suggest additional ideas for this list, and get creative: Would that realtor referred by another WSP parent donate a referral fee to WSP when you close? Or maybe the contractor rehabbing your home will accept partial payment in Home Depot scrip that benefits WSP? Nearly anywhere we spend money that isn’t covered here is a worthy support opportunity to consider. And who wouldn’t want to support our kids?

The Bottom Line – Receiving just 3% of $2,000 in monthly retail spending for groceries, clothing, and necessities multiplied by 150 families totals $108,000 per year to our school. So please start now!

More information on each program is available by clicking the links above. If you have questions after reviewing the info or if get stuck, please email scrip@waldorfpeninsula.org.

Waldorf education instilled deep seated curiosity in my children, and kept them fully engaged. As students, they were appreciated for their differences and unique gifts. They developed a strong desire to give back to their community and the world at large.
